Supplies and Outline Transfer (also kid friendly option)
In this lesson, you will gather all your supplies, and learn how to transfer your outline to your paper.
This is the only lesson where I sped up the video a little, because it's simple to follow.
The most important note is that you transfer to the side of the paper thats bumpy, not smooth. You will need the toothy side of the paper to draw on your layers.
Here are the following items you will need (amazon link is attached):
- Crayola Color Pencils (100 count is what I use, but each lesson will list exact colors)
- Crayola Crayons (64 count works, but I have the 152 count)
- Crayola Water Color Pencils (optional if you want to do the background)
- Strathmore Colored Pencil Paper size 6x8, which we will cut to 6x6
- Regular pencil
- Pencil Sharpener
- Scissors
- Ruler, but can be done without one
- Paperclip
- a few Q-Tips
- White Acrylic paint or white gel pen
- Printed outline and reference photos attached below
- Envelope for mailing
- Clear wrap envelope to protect your art
FOR A KID FRIENDLY VERSION (or if you just want an easier version):
Just follow the transfer instructions and then color it how you want. Then skip to the packaging section of the tutorial.
There are no rules for art! We are just having fun and spreading some kindness!
